Auction for Charity

I got an order recently for a lovely lady in Colorado.  After  I had finished the order and let her know I discovered that she was in the middle of the terrible fires over there!

Jennifer decided that with all the loss around her she couldn't justify buying something special for herself just now, she was giving all she could to help others and I was inspired by that!  So I am offering her little bear up for auction over on my facebook page.

Jennifer has been giving all her money to help those that need it in her area and I want to help her to do that, so all proceeds from the auction go directly to her and I will pay the postage anywhere in the world for this little bear!

More Little Happenings!

Hi Everyone!

I hope this finds you happy and enjoying your day!  Here at Little Handfuls we are getting ready for our next show!

This coming weekend we will be at the Hamilton Dunkleys Craft show.  This is from 6 - 8 July and is at the Claudelands showgrounds for anyone who is local!

In preparation for this event I have closed my facebook store due to not having as much stock as I would like for the show.  We also did an interview for the local paper so I look forward to seeing that in the Hamilton Press this Weds.

Since the last show I have been very busy with orders and sales of existing bears.  We also had our segment on Hearts In Crafts air not long after that show, so things have been very busy here!

I decided to wait until this next event before we put our tv segment up on Youtube, but I will let everyone know when it's available for all to see!

New photos will be up soon as I am keeping some of the newbies to myself at the moment!

Little Handfuls on TV!!

Hi Everyone!

Gosh we had a great response to the Hearts In Crafts segment that we were filmed for.  The episode aired on Saturday night here in NZ, and is now available for New Zealanders to see online if you click the link:

Chelsea is needle felted from a gorgeous blend of fibres, so bright and cheerful!



 Dustin is felted from a gorgeous hand dyed mustard coloured corriedale with rich red accenting!

 Filbert has the most gorgeous face, he's so finely sculpted!

Finkle has such a neat nose!  He's a lovely wee bear!

 Mackeryl is one of my few cats!  I love his little cheeks!

 Ripley is felted from a truly gorgeous hand dyed corriedale with rust, orange and yellow, he has such a special look!

 Meet Skye!  Felted in a fabulous bright turquoise with baby blue accenting.  Love those toes!!

Thistle is the newest Little Handful and what a bright member of the family he is!  I love how he has turned out!

It's almost time!

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe it's almost time for Little Handfuls to appear on tv!  We are going to air on 9 June at 6.30pm on Channel 7 with the Hearts In Crafts series!

The series has been so interesting, I've been catching up online when I can as we don't get the channel at home!  If you can't either then check out http://www.tvnz.co.nz and go to the channel 7 link to watch it online!

I'm working on the website this weekend so it's all up to date, so if you haven't dropped by the site in a while look out for my next blog post when I will tell you it's all up and ready to be perused! :o)

Latest Little Handfuls

Hi Everyone

I figured it was time for an update.  Now that so much time is spent on facebook there hasn't been much need to keep the blog running unfortunately!  It's so easy to stay up to date on facebook and keep in touch with the people who are following my work.  Now that the new timeline application has been rolled out many of us are very unhappy with the way the site works and I feel we may find that the blog is once again to place to spend time!

With that in mind I am back with some new little friends to show you!  It's been a bumpy start to the year for us but some gorgeous little bears have arrived.

 Burble is needle felted from gorgeous NZ stripey corriedale, it has purple, turquoise and pink all blended together so I picked out the 2 colours to make his cute muzzle and toes etc.

Beary Blue is felted from australian merino/silk fibre in a lovely strong blue colour.  I used powder blue for his muzzle etc, just love that belly!

Pinkle pig is felted from a yarn that I pulled apart.  I just loved the colours in this fibre, there is actually green in there too!

Robin is a lovely robins egg blue/green.  I love the expression on this little bear!
