Up for Adoption

The Show and Bears now Available!!
Hello Everyone!
Thank you so much for all the support that you offered coming up to the show! I really appreciated all the emails and kind words especially in that last week as nerves began to get the better of me!!
The show was, unfortunately, not the high point it could have been. Somehow our little town is becoming less and less interested in bears and handmade items which is really sad. However the show will be under new 'management' next year so I will give it one more go to see if they do a better job with it!
So now I have a number of bears available for my international buyers! I will endeavour to list as many pics on here as I can but I will also try and update my website as time allows.
Thank goodness for my wonderful friend Ruth, gorgeous lady and sculpting goddess!! Her and her hubby made the weekend an event to remember for me and my whole family! Thank you so much Ruth and Jarred!!
I will pop off and load up some pics now!

Only Days to Go!!

Wow, it's Tuesday already and on Friday my gorgeous friend Ruth will be arriving to whisk me off to set up for the show!
It really has gone quickly, doesn't seem long since it was 6 mths to go. And surprise of surprises, I was asked how many bears I have for the show today, and I had been aiming for 50. So I went to check how many are on my master list, and lo and behold, I have almost 70!!! How the heck did that happen. Only weeks ago I was lamenting that I only had 40.
Now, I can't say that I have managed to make 30 bears in just a few weeks. I know that I have fished a few older bears out of the dusty boxes where they were banished too, and fixed them up so they are more presentable. Plus there were a few I hadn't counted, but still, I have done really well these last weeks.
The picture above is of Bilbo, he is felted from a really fine wool, I would guess it was Merino as it was awful to felt, but I loved the colours so was worth the work. He turned out so well! One of my new favourites!!
Below is Peaches! Isn't she gorgeous!!! I got this goose egg box and just had to make something super special for it! She is wearing a wee tutu and has the sweetest wee bent limbs. I mixed the wool myself, it has white merino (yes I know, but I used it anyway as it was soooooo nice and white) a gorgeous misty rust, and a peach both hand dyed.

Well, I have lots I could show you but need to go make dinner! I knowww, a mothers work is never done! And I already spent the day vaccuming, mopping and doing laundry! Sheesh!!
Have a great day all

Nearly 2 weeks to go!!!
I can't belive it's already only two weeks until the show! This last week has flown by.
I have made a few more bears and such, most pleased in particular with some tiny minis I have done to fit into rose shaped ring boxes, They have long stems and everything! :o) These bears, one is a fairy and the other a Bumble Bee, have shrinky plastic wings and beaded antennae. They are only 2 inches tall!
I have also felted another bunny as the first was so popular (Tinsel) So now Ruby joins the ranks as well. At last count I am up to 48 bears, so quite pleased with that!
Just need some sunshine now so I can take some pics!
Well that's me for now.
Catch you again soon
